Pisco Porton launches La Caravedo in US
Peruvian spirits producer Pisco Porton has expanded its portfolio with a new pisco variant called La Caravedo following “overwhelming growth” of its flagship brand.
Crafted by master distiller Johnny Schuler, La Caravedo is a pisco puro expression, meaning it is made from a single grape variety – Quebranta.
Grown near the Peruvian coast, approximately eight pounds of grapes are used to make each pisco bottle.
“We have seen incredible growth for Pisco Porton since it launched in the US in 2011 as well as increasing demand for high quality pisco,” said Brent Kallop, president of Pisco Porton LLC.
“We enjoy many different styles of pisco in Peru and each style offers a unique flavour profile.
“We recently introduced La Caravedo, a high quality and well-priced pisco puro, to give people who are curious about pisco a new opportunity to taste and enjoy a different expression of Peru’s native spirit.”
With an abv of 40%, La Caravedo Pisco is available in key US markets and carries an RRP of US$24.99 per 750ml bottle.
